This site is not the official web site of MAHASRI (Monsoon Asian Hydro-Atmosphere Scientific Research and Prediction Initiative), which is http://mahasri.cr.chiba-u.ac.jp.

This is an experimental site maintained by one person (K. MASUDA), in order to exchange information about climate and hydrology of Asia and about data management. He considers that this experiment is part of his contribution to MAHASRI. But the contents of this site are not limited to those which officially belong to MAHASRI.

One of K. MASUDA's personal web sites is being built under http://macroscope.world.coocan.jp/. The contents there are not necessarily related to MAHASRI.

[Note] The word "coocan" in the domain name is determined by the internet provider. It seems to be another (parodied) spelling of the japanese word "kuukan" meaning "(geometrical) space". The site maintainer did not have a choice on this part, though he did choose the sub-domain "world" among the candidates listed by the provider.
